The best African music show on the radio is Richard Nwamba’s African Connection, which hits the airwaves on SAfm each Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Nwamba plays great tunes from all over the continent - as well as from the African diaspora around the world - emphasizing traditional sounds, and explorings the oevres of the African greats, from Fela Anikulapo Kuti to Awilo Longomba. Nwamba has his own line of CDs, too, named after his show: The Best of the African Connection (4 volumes in total). Great sounds!
