Cape Town Airport 101: Not Funny = It’s a Bomb.

This is something I would do: A 26 year old man has been arrested at Cape Town for contravening the aviation act.

A box he placed on the X-ray machine was detected as an unusual item and when asked, he replied that it was a bomb.

The item was reported as being a “bathroom contraption”

Airport officials are not famous for their sense of humour and they guy is now deeply regretting this move. This also follows the recent maniac-on-a-plane from Botswana, claiming that his water bottle was an explosive.

I think I will have to bite my tongue next time I go through the machine, but then they will probably flag me as a drug mule.
