Blue Peter Hotel and Bar: Bloubergstrand Village, No, but yes, but.

The Blue Peter is a regular haunt of ours, and the other night I was trying to figure out why?

For one the service is horrendous. The waiters are all extremely busy, with what I am not sure, but too busy to actually serve anyone. The place is always rammed to the ceiling with bikers, kids, dogs, hippies and pensioners and is very difficult to find a table. The food is highly mediocre and overpriced as such and the décor is very nothingesque, so why do we spend so much time there?.

It has got to be the venue. Right on the beach in Blouberg, with a postcard view of the sunset, Table mountain, Robben Island and the Atlantic ocean. All in all, it is more than enough to distract you from the resultant hunger and thirst.

Recommended: Yes, but reluctantly.

The Blue Peter restaurant and bar is a complete and absolute rip off! I had a ordinary regina pizza with avo ( extra) and 2 beers. Bill came to R99.00!! That is 10 euros for a pizza and 2 beers!! Extra avo cost R11.50!! They will not see me or my friends again.

Avoid the place or if you have to go then only for a drink.
