Due to the large expanse of coastline, Mozambique is unique in that it is not overcrowded with tourists. With the warmer waters of the Indian Ocean, water temperatures range from 22˚C in winter to 31˚C in summer and visibility is usually between five and 35 meters, with an average year round visibility of 20 meters. The marine life throughout the year is incredible ranging from Whale sharks (between October and July), to Humpback whales (July to October) to Manta rays and Bottlenose dolphins all year round. Mozambique is a favorite amongst divers as all levels of experience are guaranteed a great diving experience.
