Photo Competition Set to Drive Amateur Snappers Wild

If you’re heading to the Wild Coast between now and September, make allowance in your budget for plenty of batteries. Not only will you find scene upon breathtaking scene to snap, but you’ll be able to test your talent for photography in the Wild Coast Photographic Competition.

The competition is open to all who visit or live in the area - locals and foreigners alike. A half-dozen categories ensure that your pics will find a suitable niche for vying for the judges’ attention. (There’s even a cell phone category - very neat.) It’s requested that all photos be submitted in digital format - on cd or via email.

The competition website, meanwhile, is already filling up with gorgeous photos. A few samples:
