Road Trip Return, Sharks, and wrapping up

I posted this post yesterday but the internet cafe network connection just stopped before I could save it. I’m sure Nick and other folks that have travelled and used eratic internet connections know what I am talking about.

Anyway, got back from the road trip about 600 km’s in 6 days or so. Wine Country, Mountains, and then the Coast on the way back. The last day I was fortunate enought to go cage diving with Great White Sharks.

It was a big fucking rush.

Definately the highlight of the South Africa leg of my RTW trip so far. I have some picture of me and Jaws getting it on, I’ll work on them shortly.

I had to read that twice just to make sure i was correct. Cage diving with Great White Sharks! That’s something to get the blood pumping.

It would be a ‘fucking rush’ for me if I went diving in a cage with those big fuckers – it would be a fucking rush to the nearest loo!

You’re a brave man Gungadin!..

It did get the blodd pumping – but don’t think you couldn’t do it – anyone could – I reckon going for a 2 night 3 days hike in Yellowstone National Park is more dangerous – but this is an intense experience for the time you are in the cage with these pussy cats.

Woohoo Sean! Your SA trip is spectacular–I just found your posts today–I was previously only checking bootblog but now i am dialed in…

After the release of JAWS I vowed never to watch another shark flick–but I would have loved to witness your caged cinematic adventure. (hope your sunscreen was waterproof:)

And for another random thought–I think they could re-name the Portland City Grill the Observatory for 30 somethings…

sounds like your tanned, fed and smiling…’good on ya’ Sean.
Cheers.
