Cape Town Wifi Hotspot: Carlucci’s in Bantry Bay

The Ambassador Hotel wifi signal - unbeknownst, in all likelihood, to the Ambassador Hotel management - reaches the trendy Carlucci’s Cafe on the opposite side of the street in Bantry Bay.

Yes, that’s right, there’s WiFi Buried Treasure on the Atlantic Seaboard.

This means you can sip cappuccino, surf and attract strange looks from the glamor girls and boys lounging at other tables - who would as soon consider opening a laptop during their free time as visit the beach in a hairshirt.

For free Web access on the way to Clifton’s beaches - plus above-average coffee and good light breakfasts and lunches - stop in at Carlucci’s: 29 Victoria Rd, Bantry Bay, +27 (0) 21 439 6476.
