A popular actress on the Afrikaans soap opera 7de Laan was visiting an upscale private game reserve near Johannesburg when she managed to get her ring caught in a lion’s mouth. Frightened, the animal clamped down, taking Elma Postma’s finger with it. Doctors were able to re-attach the finger. The actress plans on returning to work in a week.
