Angola Expects…

Following last night’s disappointing World Cup showing for Africa in the Group of Death - in which Ivory Coast pushed but couldn’t topple a better-organized Argentina - it’s a case of “Angola Expects” this evening, as the newcomer to the world football stage takes on its former colonial ruler, Portugal.

Needless to say, Angola haven’t been given much chance - Portugal are title contenders - but the Cup needs another surprise team to join Trinidad and Tobago, and the Palancas Negras, as Angola are known, are certainly eager to provide Africa with a reason to celebrate.
