The flames are blazing closer to the homes in Upper Fresnaye - last reports had them at 200 meters away, but they seem a bit nearer from my front balcony - and residents are on their roofs with hosepipes at the ready. (This from radio reports. I can’t see the houses on the Fresnaye hill for the smoke.)
Firefighting resources remain concentrated in the city bowl, but they’ll be needed on the Atlantic Seaboard soon.
