The fire raging on Table Mountain, fanned by a strong south-easter, has crested the upper half of Signal Hill, and can now be seen on Lion’s Head’s west-facing slope, burning in the direction of Upper Fresnaye. It’s moving quite rapidly, but still has several hundred meters to go before it reaches the first line of houses.
I can see the flames from my front balcony, but can’t get a picture of them because of the thick smoke.
