Cape Town has caught gourmet ice cream fever, and although the flavors at Sinnfull aren’t quite as creative as those of it’s rivals (you can get a cone of Merlot ice cream at the Ice Cafe in Long Street), for overall creaminess and richness of taste the licking at this place - up the stairs from the Victoria Road pavement in the Promenade Center - is tops.
Popular flavors include poppyseed white chocolate, custard and passion fruit. Two scoops cost just R10, and, because Sinnfull’s so close to some of Camps Bay’s most popular clubs - like Baraza and Ignite - it counts as the “coolest” break room around. (Note: the scooping stops at 11 p.m. sharp.)
The only obstacle to reaching this emporium of pleasure for your tongue is the parking shortage in Camps Bay. But you can always double-park while your friend runs in!
