Further Insight & Opinion
If you’re looking for the equivalent of a US late-nite diner in Cape Town, look no further than Caturra’s. It’s open until 1 a.m. on weekends (that’s very late for this city), and serves tasty milkshakes, burgers and steaks, and reasonably good coffee. Best of all is the company - I’ve never known the joint to be anything but full. It’s a lively place, and wants you in it.

In fact, that’s the cafe’s owner coming out to tell me how happy he’d be to see me back for more custom some day. Very friendly!
