Wednesday, 6h30 p.m.: The prognosis for the continuing electricity crisis is grim, with rolling blackouts now forecast until Friday evening.
Over the weekend, various VIPs made promises that the problem would be solved by today, but they have since broken those promises into tiny little bits and sprinkled them into their aquariums. Various “blackout schedules” have also been published, and have since found a niche in the Cape Town economy as wrappers for hot chips. Nobody actually knows what’s going on, but everybody knows what’s going off.

Misloz, certainly, although they’re a bit scarce at the moment. See this post for stoves and pointers on where to buy other camping equipment:

“Nobody actually knows what’s going on, but everybody knows what’s going off.” That’s very silly!
Truly, Alix, silliness is one of our fortes here at SA Blog.
Is there access to little portable Coleman camping stoves as well as little gas stoves if a blackout occurs? Are there other camping items one could find useful during blackouts as well?
