What is it? It’s the head office of the Western Cape’s government - the site of the provincial administration.
Who’s inside? Western Cape Premier Ebrahim Rasool, for one.
Why would I ever go there? I can’t think of the first reason, to be frank. But a good tip for visitors is that a walk through the building - that is, via the road that proceeds underneath its high arches - makes for a great shortcut between St. George’s Mall and Long Street.
What’s nearby? St. George’s Mall and Cathedral, Greenmarket Square, the Company’s Gardens, and the Cape High Court.
